NVIDIA may release and sell RTX 4000 graphics cards along with RTX 3000

If a recent 3DCenter report is to be believed, the availability of AMD and NVIDIA gaming graphics cards is improving significantly, as is the average cost of graphics cards. While availability is improving, GPU and graphics card manufacturers continue to develop strategies to saturate the market with graphics cards, not necessarily new ones.

At the moment, NVIDIA is selling both the latest generation of GeForce RTX 3000 Ampere and the last generation of GeForce RTX 2000 Turing graphics cards. This is necessary in order to have an increased supply in a shortage situation in the market. It is speculated that the company may repeat this strategy if the next generation of gaming graphics cards, known as GeForce RTX 4000 Ada Lovelace, sometimes simply Ada, is released.

Colette Kress, NVIDIA's CFO, made the news. At the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Communications Conference, she said that "even in this period of COVID and supply constraints, it was interesting because it gave us the opportunity to continue to sell both the current generation Ampere and the last generation Turing. We may see something similar in the future."

She also confirmed that we shouldn't expect any new graphics cards at the investor event, but we may hear some details about upcoming products at GTC 2022.
